Job Description

The Prime Video Device Partnership Experience (PV DPTX) team is seeking a highly talented Software Development Engineer to leverage advance technologies(e.g. AI) and build world-class services that drive Prime Video content discovery and engagement on partner Living Room devices — including Apple TV, Google TV, Samsung TV, Hisense TV, and more.

**About the Team**

The DPTX team is responsible for building and maintaining the technology that powers Prime Video across partner devices and platforms. We develop services that deliver personalized content experiences to our customers, and we collaborate closely with platform partners to ensure seamless UI integration — making it effortless for customers to discover their preferred Prime Video content and deepening their engagement with the service.

Our team is at the forefront of innovation, delivering best-in-class personalization experiences with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and user experience across a diverse ecosystem of devices.

Key job responsibilities
1. Build backend services to drive PV content's discover and engagement on partner devices.
2. Translate requirements to technical deliverables and deliver operationally stable solutions that provide excellent customer experiences across multiple device platforms
3. Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance
4. Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing technologies and tools to enhance device integration and streaming performance
5. Coach and mentor junior development engineers on the team
6. Work with Senior Engineers and Principal Engineers in the organization to define architecture plans for the next three years
7. Collaborate with international teams and device partners to ensure consistent quality and feature parity
8. Drive technical excellence and best practices in software development within the team

Basic Qualifications


- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
