Autodesk's Growth Experience Technology (GET) organization is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join a team of diverse, smart, and driven engineers who are responsible for building .com and Commerce Engineering which powers Autodesk’s digital experience and commerce platforms, enabling seamless customer journeys from discovery and evaluation to purchase, account management, and support.. This engineer will collaborate within a high-performing Scrum team where the code, infrastructure, and services you develop will have a direct, positive impact on millions of users of our products. This experience is key to our business and one of our top initiatives around transformation and customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks
Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs to support web and AI-driven experiences
Build and integrate AI-powered features such as conversational workflows, recommendations, and automation
Work with AI/ML APIs and services to enable intelligent product capabilities (e.g., LLM integrations, prompt workflows)
Collaborate with product, design, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation tasks
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend, backend, and integrated systems
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards and practices
Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations when required
Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
Minimum Qualifications
Hands‑on experience or strong interest in working with LLM APIs, chat-based features, or AI-powered workflows
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
2–5 years of software development experience using Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript-based technologies
Experience building REST APIs, backend services, and web applications
Good understanding of AI/ML service integration (e.g., using APIs for chat, automation, or intelligent features)
Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
Familiarity with JavaScript-based testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
Exposure to containerization (Docker) and CI/CD tools
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
Passionate about building reliable, scalable, and intelligent software systems
Writes clean, testable, and maintainable code across frontend and backend layers
Comfortable working in an agile, collaborative development environment
Eager to learn and apply new technologies, including AI-driven application patterns
Interested in building AI-enabled features such as conversational experiences, automation, or recommendations
Familiar with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) is a plus
Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar platforms is a plus

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
