Duties & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Viavi Solutions, LLC. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge software solutions for our industry-leading products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and debug software applications and systems according to specifications.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure successful product delivery.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Python).
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing project requirements.
