The position / About the Job:

As Automation Engineer, you will develop our automation systems in an Agile environment throughout the whole product lifecycle. That includes

  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using SIEMENS control systems / Rockwell/ B&R PLCs
  • Develop and configure PLC programs, ensuring they meet project specifications and requirements.
  • Integrate control systems with various devices and networks, including IoT technologies.
  • Design and develop web-based HMIs for real-time monitoring and control of automation systems.
  • Develop and implement IoT solutions to enhance automation systems' functionality and connectivity.
  • Work with international team on multiple projects and should be ready to travel on-site if needed.
  • Including cyber security compliance practices while developing SW.
  • Ensure data security and integrity within IoT frameworks.
  • Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and support.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Work within an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, maintaining flexibility and a focus on delivering value.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and team members on new systems and technologies.

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s - Electrical / Electronics / instrumentation Engineering (required).

Skills:

  • 5+ years of work experience in Automation Engineering & Standardizations
  • Extensive experience from PLC & HMI programming
  • Experience in Cyber Security Standards
  • Experience in Software Development Models & Methods (OOP, S88, PackML)
  • Experience in Agile Methods and Tools (SCRUM, DevOps)
  • Experience with web-based HMIs and the latest IoT technologies
  • Experience in industrial communication protocols and networking
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Cross-cultural awareness.
