WEX Software Engineer (C#.NET/Azure)

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be more than an engineer —you’ll be an innovator and a leader, delivering new functionality for our customer and while modernizing our platform to become cloud native and event driven. You’ll collaborate with talented peers, using your expertise in C#, SQL, ASP.NET, and Azure to build solutions that are robust, maintainable and future-proof.

What You’ll Do

• Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain applications
• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable C#.NET code
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve performance
• Perform and automate the quality assurance processes
• Assist in the evolution of our deployment pipelines and DevOps practices
• Play a key role in evolving our platform to become cloud native and event driven
• Continuously explore new technologies to improve our platform and processes

Technically, you ​

• Are passionate about designing solutions and writing great code
• Are a strong back end developer, but are also comfortable working on relational databases, cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and front end.
• Know what great code looks like, you can write it, and you are comfortable helping others do the same

At a minimum, you

• Are an experienced Software Engineer with C# and the .NET Platform, and relational databases
• Have experience with at least one cloud platform
• Are experienced with test automation
• Have an in-depth working understanding of NoSQL and SQL datastores

• Can show us one or more passion projects or open-source work you have contributed to in your own time.
