Job Title: Oracle Developer – Banner & SIS Support
Office: Office of Information Technology
OF FUNCTIONS:
• The Oracle Developer will support and maintain Ellucian Banner SIS and related academic applications.
The role focuses on Oracle Database, PL/SQL development, Banner modules, reporting, and integrations.
• The candidate will work closely with the application team and coordinate directly with the head of the team to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that support academic and student services.
• Should have a strong technical background, excellent IT skills, and experience in designing and possess the ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical support and development for Ellucian Banner SIS and academic systems
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle Database & PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions
• Support Banner functional areas, including:
• Banner General Student Module
• Course Scheduling
• Banner Registration
• Banner Catalog
• Banner APIs and integrations
• Assist in troubleshooting Banner issues and resolving data or application problems
• Develop and maintain reports using Argos Reporting and other Banner reporting tools
• Support integrations with academic systems such as:
• CRM Advisor
• Scheduling systems
• Participate in system testing, UAT support, and production deployments
• Work collaboratively within the development team
• Coordinate tasks and priorities directly with the Head of the team
• Document technical solutions and processes
• Follow SDLC best practices and change management procedures
• Provide on-call or after-hours support when required during critical academic periods
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Required Technical Skills:
• Strong experience in Oracle Database & PL/SQL
• Hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner SIS architecture and modules
• Experience with:
• Banner APIs
• Banner Registration
• Banner Catalog
• Course Scheduling
• Banner General Student Module
• Experience with Argos Reporting
• Understanding of Banner database structure
• Basic experience with system integrations
• Knowledge of SQL performance tuning

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with:
• Ellucian CRM (Advisor / Recruit)
• Oracle APEX
• BI tools (Power BI is a plus)
• Exposure to SOA and REST APIs
• Understanding of academic business processes
•
Experience Level:
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Oracle development or SIS support
• Fresh graduates with strong Banner / Oracle exposure may be considered

• Good communication skills (English required, Arabic is a plus)
