At our Siemens R&D Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.

We would like to invite you to cooperate on the development of industrial automation products. We focus on complete product development and integration across the entire automation system. We are currently looking for a Software Developer & Test Automation Engineer. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and C#/C++ development and will help us expand our testing platform and drive automation across our verification processes in industrial communication.

Your task will be

  • Carry out the development of complex circuit boards with many functions and links, including the coordination of the associated work steps, considering the functional, cost and manufacturing aspect
  • Extending and improving our test platform (C#, C++)
  • Expanding our CI/CD pipeline (GitHub) for automated testing
  • Enhancing the automation of our verification pipeline
  • Integrating AI into the verification and automation process
  • Configuring environments on physical and virtual machines running Linux and Windows
  • Verifying Release Candidates and Nightly builds
  • Tracking and reporting bugs

What we will appreciate from you

  • Technical background (Electronics)
  • An AI-positive mindset with a willingness to actively use AI tools
  • CI/CD pipelines: Hands-on experience with pipelines in GitHub (or Azure DevOps)
  • C#: Software development experience in C# (expert-level proficiency not required)
  • C++: Software development experience in C++ (expert-level proficiency not required)
  • Linux: Comfortable working in a Linux environment and using the command line
  • Networking: Basic knowledge of networking concepts (configuration and diagnostics)
  • English: Communicative level of English
  • A university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
  • Strong teamwork skills, a collaborative mindset, and good communication abilities
  • Familiar with GoogleTest or another C++ testing framework
  • Experience in software testing or quality assurance (QA)
