Job Description

Role Purpose

Lead all aspects of the software development lifecycle including analyzing, coding, debugging and documenting software; mentor and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for setting, championing and ensuring development performance standards and for ensuring development teams conform to software development best practices and IHG policies and standards. 
• Design and develop real time applications for use in a multi-platform environment
• Implement complex programs and lead/coordinate project/program and systems documentation according to established IT standards. 
• Responsible for leading systems development planning, product performance optimization, support, and monitoring. Report on project development status to software engineering management on a regular and timely basis.
• Identify and assist in the resolution of project/program dependencies and sequencing of deliverables.
• Act as subject matter expert in focus area(s).

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience

Experience

• 7+ years progressive work-related experience, with at least 3+ years’

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Strong applied knowledge of and extensive experience with related software architectures and development methodologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
