Job Description

Some of what you will do:

Staples Technology is looking for an early‑career engineer who loves to explore, prototype, and teach. In this role you’ll experiment with new technologies (including AI) and turn them into clear playbooks that help our product teams move faster.

Specifically, You Will:

• Build quick prototypes/POCs to validate tools, platforms, and AI capabilities.
• Document and share how things work with guides, samples, and enablement sessions.
• Present to teams and help senior developers adopt new tools and workflows.
• Wire up CI/CD, scripts, and environment plumbing that accelerate delivery.
• Track and share impact (e.g., time saved, reliability, developer experience).

Some of what you need:

• 0–3 years’ experience in software/platform/DevOps (co‑ops welcome).
• Good knowledge of modern front‑end tooling (React, TypeScript, Vite/Webpack) to build small UI proof‑of‑concepts and technical demos.
• Strong communicator who enjoys teaching and demoing in front of groups.
• Comfortable with Python/PowerShell, Git, CI/CD YAML, Docker, REST/JSON, and basic Azure.
• Comfortable using Figma (or Adobe XD) to create lightweight clickable prototypes is a plus.
• Curious, hands‑on, and not constrained by “this is how we’ve always done it.”

Additional Information:

Office environment – Hybrid, 4 days a week in the Richmond Hill office, Monday to Thursday
