
Milliman's Indianapolis Health practice is seeking a Software Developer Intern (Summer 2026) to join our growing Platform team. The Software Developer Intern will support the modernization of the Milliman Access Portal (MAP) during a period of significant architectural and cloud transformation. This role will contribute hands-on development to help migrate the application from a React/Node.js stack to a Blazor Server architecture, while also assisting with related cloud infrastructure updates and other engineering tasks needed to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance while maintaining our high security standards. The intern will work closely with experienced developers and stakeholders to implement features, refactor and test components, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to users.

The Team
The IndyHealth Platform Team builds and maintains the secure, scalable infrastructure and shared platforms that power our practice’s analytical and reporting capabilities. The team designs and operates core systems such as Databricks and the Milliman Access Portal (MAP), ensuring stability, performance, and compliance across all environments. Through cross-collaboration with other IndyHealth teams, the Platform Team develops automation, cloud solutions, and governance frameworks that enable efficient, reliable, and compliant delivery across the practice.
Location
This position is based out of the Milliman office in Indianapolis, IN. Candidates hired into this role must be willing to work onsite full-time.
