Your tasks:
In our team, you ensure the further development of our primary software solution for the financial settlement of energy and commodity trades. You process transaction data from the exchanges in the front and back end, create and operate interfaces to our own and external systems via messaging (ESB) or web services and create reports for various stakeholders. You take a domain-driven approach and work closely with the specialist departments to understand their needs and develop efficient software solutions for them. You are involved in the entire lifecycle - from the idea and planning to the design and implementation of the function as well as the deployment. You will use public clouds and OpenShift for containerisation, among other things. You work in an agile (SCRUM approach), growing team either in the office high above the rooftops of Leipzig or remotely from home.

Your skills:

  • You have a successfully completed degree or an apprenticeship as well as already first experience in coding with Java
  • "Real" object orientation and clean code are not unknown to you
  • SQL queries and the handling of DBMS like MySQL or PostgreSQL are routine for you
  • You are familiar with DevOps tools esp. build servers like Jenkins and the creation of Pipelines
  • If you have experience with containerization and clusters and the tools in this context such as Helm, Buildah/Podman, that’s an advantage
  • Ideally, you will add experience with Spring/ Spring Boot and Frontend technologies like React, Vue.js or Angular
  • You have the willingness to learn and apply new/ different technologies
  • You can express yourself very well in English
  • You have very good team skills
