SDE 3 | Backend Engineering | Kotak 811 | Bangalore Do you thrive on solving large-scale engineering challenges and leading the design of highly scalable distributed systems? Kotak 811 is looking for an experienced SDE 3 to drive innovation, architecture, and engineering excellence across our backend platforms. � � What You'll Do • Design, architect, and build highly scalable backend systems serving millions of customers • Lead the development of complex microservices and distributed platform capabilities • Define backend architecture standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices • Drive system reliability, performance optimization, scalability, and operational excellence • Own critical platform components and ensure high availability and fault tolerance • Lead API strategy, governance, security, and lifecycle management through API Gateway platforms • Mentor engineers across teams through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance • Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural improvements • Collaborate with product, engineering leadership, security, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives • Drive incident resolution, root cause analysis, and long-term platform improvements � �️ What We're Looking For • 6-10+ years of experience in backend engineering and distributed systems development • Strong expertise in Node.js, Java Spring Boot, or other enterprise backend technologies • Proven experience designing and operating large-scale microservices architectures • Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or Kafka • Strong expertise in backend design patterns, scalability, resiliency, and performance engineering • Hands-on experience with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) • Strong exposure to API Gateway solutions, security controls, authentication, authorization, and traffic management • Experience with cloud-native architectures, containerization, CI/CD, and DevOps practices • Advanced knowledge of testing strategies, TDD, automation, observability, and production monitoring • Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring capabilities � � You'll Thrive Here If You...
