Job Mandate
The Software Developer will be responsible for the development, testing, maintenance, and implementation of moderate to complex application(s), contributing to KORE's modern, cloud- native, and AI-enabled application landscape. Working under the guidance of technical leads and architects, this role engages across KORE's technology team to support large-scale initiatives as well as daily operations and maintenance activities.
Major Responsibilities:
• Participate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical leads, and architects to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and unit test moderate to complex programs/modules according to specific business and design requirements in an efficient and accurate manner to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations
• Contribute to application development using API-driven and, where applicable, microservices-based approaches under the direction of technical leads.
• Participate in the development of detailed system/design documents to meet the development methodology and to facilitate knowledge transfer as well as increasing application maintainability.
• Participate in application design sessions and code reviews/walkthroughs to ensure accuracy toward business requirements and development guidelines, and to increase technical skills through knowledge transfer and mentorship from senior team members.
• Implement front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration.
• Support integration of AI-enabled and data-driven features into applications as directed by technical leads.
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability, applying design patterns and multithreading concepts.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to software development best practices.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
• Assist with deployment activities and basic CI/CD pipeline tasks as part of the development process
• Provide support and enhancements to existing production applications in a timely and accurate manner to minimize outage time and increase the effectiveness of the business
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software development, including cloud and AI-driven approaches.
Minimum Required Technical Skills / Qualifications
• IT-related degree/diploma or Computer Science/Computer Engineering degree, or equivalent experience in a related field
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience (junior to intermediate level)
• Proficiency in backend development (e.g., Python, C#, NodeJS, or similar)
• Experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Flutter)
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API-driven architecture concepts.
• Growing understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, version control, code quality, and secure development.
• Understanding of API design, RESTful services, and integration patterns.
• Exposure to database development and optimization (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven architecture concepts (e.g., Kafka, Azure Service Bus) is an asset.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud-native services.
• Basic familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Foundational understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Interest in or exposure to AI/ML integration, including leveraging AI services or APIs within applications.
• Experience working in or exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
• Nice-to-Have: Experience with mobile application development or cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter).
• Nice-to-Have: Exposure to data platforms and integration patterns.
• Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with UML, technical drawings, and documentation practices.
• Nice-to-Have: Willingness to learn legacy technologies used in KORE's existing systems, such as Smalltalk.

Salary:$100k-$120k
