At Armaguard Group’s ITS division, we’re building and supporting critical software solutions used across banking and financial services. We’re looking for a Software Developer who thrives on solving complex problems and wants to work on technology that directly interacts with customers every day.

About the Role

As a Software Developer, you’ll play a key role in developing, enhancing and supporting ATM and backend software solutions. You’ll work across a variety of technologies, collaborating with internal teams, customers and suppliers to deliver high-quality, reliable systems.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle from design and integration through to deployment and support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining customer-facing and backend software solutions
• Integrating systems using REST/SOAP APIs and database technologies
• Troubleshooting and providing Level 3 support (including issue replication and root cause analysis)
• Working across multiple projects, including enhancements, new builds and proof of concepts
• Collaborating with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
• Contributing to CI/CD processes and Agile delivery environments
• Translating complex technical concepts into clear, practical solutions

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in Java (essential) and ideally C#
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and scripting languages
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Exposure to REST/SOAP integrations
• Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira, Bitbucket or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent communication skills and able to engage both technical and business stakeholders

Highly regarded:

• Experience with ATM technologies or terminal-based systems
• Knowledge of banking/payment protocols (e.g. NDC, XFS, AS2805)
• Exposure to Angular, Splunk or similar tools
