As a Software Developer, you will be part of Indian Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources, and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across markets. How you’ll make an impact:
The .NET Desktop Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Windows-based desktop applications using the .NET framework. The role also contributes to CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing, and release processes, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and secure software delivery within the application ecosystem.
Design, develop, and maintain .NET desktop applications using C#, WinForms and/or WPF. Implement business logic, data access layers, and UI components following object-oriented and SOLID design principles.
Work with relational databases to design schemas, write optimized queries, and integrate data persistence. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and release using Azure DevOps / Git-based workflows.
Write unit tests and integration tests, following TDD/BDD practices where applicable. Collaborate with DevOps, Infra, and Local IS/IT teams for deployments, environment issues, and operational support.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues. Ensure application performance, reliability, and security compliance.Contribute to technical documentation and coding standards.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience in .NET development using C#.
Hands-on experience with .NET Framework / .NET Core, WinForms and/or WPF and strong experience with relational databases such as SQL Server / PostgreSQL / Oracle.
Understanding of CI/CD concepts, including automated builds, testing, and releases. Experience using Azure DevOps, Git, and pipeline configuration.
Familiarity with REST APIs and service integration. Exposure to Microsoft Azure services is a plus.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based deployment is a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong analytical thinking and systematic troubleshooting abilities. Capability to formalize operational knowledge and transfer expertise to team members.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
