Travel Percentage: 25%Medaca is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join the team!
This will be remote with travel required locally in Toronto as well as Montreal. The schedule will be Monday - Friday standard business hours.
The Full Stack Developer is a Canadian-based role supporting technology solutions for three business units in Canada, representing approximately 70 employees. This position is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and implementing software solutions that improve operational efficiency, system functionality, and user experience across the supported businesses.
Reporting to the Director of Product Development, Canada, this role works remotely from the Greater Toronto Area while collaborating closely with internal teams and end-users. The initial focus will be on one core platform supporting the three business units, with future cross-training anticipated on other platforms used across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- A minimum of five years related experience in web development
- Highly preferred to be bilingual in French and English, with professional-level verbal and written fluency in both languages and the ability to support French- and English-speaking users and stakeholders
- Extensive knowledge in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Bootstrap, Git, MVC and service oriented architecture is required. Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, AWS IaC and GitHub is a must
- Must have expert knowledge of data structures, computer logic, and computer program design methods and techniques.
- Must have experience working within an agile development environment.
- Ability to write, edit and debug computer programs to achieve desired output.
- Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow company requirements for privacy, information security, and secure handling of data.
- Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures in effect at time of hire and as they may change or be added from time to time.
