Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a robust route propagation system for the OCI gateways organisation, troubleshooting issues, and creating comprehensive design documents. The role demands a strong analytical thinker with an understanding of routing protocols and the ability to write well-documented, functional code accompanied by unit tests (UTs). We are looking for someone who has the ability to learn on the job and is willing to go the extra mile to take ownership of the service. We value ingenuity and hard work .

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

As a senior engineer on our team, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient software features while collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver robust end-to-end distributed virtual networking software applications. You will take full ownership of the SDLC, encompassing architecture, development, testing, monitoring, and production support. This role offers a chance to engage with innovative cloud projects, tackle challenging engineering issues, and make a direct impact on Oracle’s cloud services. We value ownership and expect a long-term perspective, strong teamwork, and the ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Must have 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields.
• Hands-on experience & expertise in Java/J2EE, Golang or Python along with moderate experience on Unix, shell scripting
• Hands-on experience of working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on software Development experience
• Experience in RESTful API added advantage
• Experience with Cloud Services, Docker, and Kubernetes, is preferred
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Prior experience with cloud services, networking, load balancers
