Java Software Developer

Project Overview

This team is building a modern outbound notification platform that works across multiple channels for a UK public sector organisation. The service enables communication with customers and third parties and includes functionality for managing user contact preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features such as Message Centre, BAU onboarding releases, and Strategic Events Platform
• Upgrade applications (Documentum, RHEL, SFT Agent) and implement secure development changes
• Enhance monitoring and alerting for platform reliability
• Support migration

Essential Skills

• Content Management: Documentum server & DFC
• Cloud: AWS (Serverless, EC2, SQS)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible
• CI/CD: GitLab
• Programming: Java (3+ years), Rust, Bash, Python
• Other: Linux (RHEL), Oracle, PKCS#11 encryption, Filenet P8

Desirable

• Experience working on government projects
• Understanding of Linux administration
