Job Description

clearAvenue is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our enterprise application and web development team and play a key role in building innovative software solutions for our clients. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications as part of a larger team and will be accountable for your work product and quality.

Software Developer Roles and Responsibilities:

Debug and resolve software defects in existing applications
Create innovative, scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions
Write and test code to ensure compatibility and stability
Execute code builds in dev, test, and production environments
Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams
Document solutions with flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, code comments and clear code

Skills and Qualifications:

Application architecture and design patterns
Object-oriented programming
Software development fundamentals
Software testing
Secure software development
Requirements analysis

Experience:

Proficiency with Java and/or Javascript
Familiarity with Spring Framework
Familiarity with Angular

Preferred Experience:

Experience developing distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications
Experience working with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
Experience developing with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, OpenSearch
Experience with Cloud migration and implementation
Experience supporting Department of Defense, Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) program(s)

Education and Background:

Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation
Must have or work towards CompTIA Security + Certification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
3 to 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in the government contracting industry

Clearance: DoD public trust or higher
