Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Software Configuration Analyst - Level 5 to help develop, enforce, and maintain Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes on large-scale program in accordance with the Organization’s Standard Software Process (OSSP) and contractual requirements. The analyst will also support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. This role will be located in Aurora, CO
An SCM Engineer plans and evolves processes and infrastructure to execute programs which support rapid maturation and deployment of capability while sustaining a stable security posture and incorporating ongoing stakeholder feedback. Integrates development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. Implements provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, componentizing, or Cloud distribution. Functions with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. Ensures implementation of SCM, code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
The Software Configuration Analyst will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to:
· Coordinate and generate configured builds for test and delivery.
· Communicate issues and risks pertaining to issues, solutions, and releases.
· Administration of the Software CM tools (including installation, upgrades, and maintenance).
· Facilitate and scribe for control board meetings, creating build and delivery documentation, and process improvement activities.
· Establish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and products.
· Possess understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards as required.
· Conduct and support internal and external customer audits.
· Generate metrics and code counts for program management and proposal efforts.
· Ability to multi-task and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.
· SW analysts work in an office environment and traditionally work during normal business hours, however – on occasion late shifts or on-call remote work may be requested.
· Excellent communication skills.
· High level of problem solving is required to troubleshoot system issues and prevent downtime.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years with a Master's; 8 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI at time of application
Experience with AWS/C2S
Experience with Linux
Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git/Version Control Software
Experience working with Docker containers
Ability to identify the needs to build automation, designing and implementing CI/CD solutions
Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels
Experience in software configuration management
Experience with coordinating/creating configured builds for test and delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
Polygraph (CI or FSP)
Experience with developing microservices
Experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts
Experience with Agile development
Excellent technical writing and team building skills
Experience with SW CM branching strategies & tagging, pull requests, merges, and build versioning
Primary Level Salary Range: $161,000.00 - $241,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
