This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

What you can look forward to as a Software Commodity Buyer (f/m/d):

• Manage and negotiate purchasing price for a software commodity.
• Scope of software: software licensing, software contracts, harmonize with a software global team (AUTOSAR, computer vision, OS (operating systems: Android, Linux, QNX), cybersecurity, functional safety.
• Define respective strategy and review sources and bundling opportunities for cost-saving methods and opportunities; achieve the target cost established by the business unit for the commodity while adhering to established sourcing process.
• Analyze assigned market to prepare and recommend strategic suppliers.
• Support and define the development of and ensure the adherence to part family strategies.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs to promote team efforts.

Your profile as a Software Commodity Buyer (f/m/d):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field.
• 3-5 years of advanced experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e. technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.).
• Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation (i.e. quality, capacity, cost, etc.).
• Strong background with supplier bidding process and complex negotiations.
• Experience with APQP and/or project management tools and methods.
• Fluent in English.
