What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain backend business logic using JavaScript or TypeScript in a Node.js environment.
• Design and build modular, reusable backend solutions following software engineering best practices.
• Apply Hexagonal Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to structure the codebase and maintain a clear separation between application, domain, and infrastructure layers.
• Work with real-time communication through sockets, handling requests and responses efficiently.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs using Express, designing clear endpoints and working with JSON data for frontend consumption.
• Work with both relational and non-relational databases, implementing CRUD operations and managing data persistence with technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Mongoose, or similar tools.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai to validate business logic and application behaviour.

Your profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working on high-demand projects.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, with the ability to solve complex problems and develop efficient solutions.
• Solid experience with Node.js and knowledge of Express.
• Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model, with on-site presence at our Valencia or Madrid offices.

We value

• Experience with Hexagonal Architecture, DDD and Clean Code principles.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL and ORM/ODM tools such as Mongoose.
• Knowledge and experience with WebSockets or real-time communication.
• Experience developing unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Autonomy, proactivity and a strong problem-solving mindset.
• A collaborative attitude, willingness to contribute ideas and openness to feedback.
