Sainsburys Tech – Service Operations – Asset Management
SAM Manager
The SAM Analyst role is part of the Supplier Management team in the wider Business Transformation division and reports into SAM Manager. As a member of the Software Asset Management (SAM) team you’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the team and contributing to activities to improve software asset management across the business.
The primary responsibility of the role is to control software licenses, making sure they are utilised and optimised as per agreed practices or binding contracts and that we remain legally compliant. You’ll plan, lead and co-ordinate your own area of assigned publishers while collectively making sure the team’s business as usual activity is being covered. It requires close business partnership with the Procurement, Software Deployment and Packaging, Engineering teams, and also with other departments across the business including Sainsbury’s Tech.
You’ll be required to navigate the complexity and challenges that come with delivering at pace and build strong relationships with colleagues within the team and across the organisation – always keeping in mind SAM principles. Enable senior stakeholders to make data driven decisions around their software investments by providing them with credible SAM analyses.
Our Valued Behaviours are our common DNA that every colleague should live by and provide the benchmark for how we deliver our goals/individual contribution, and how we relate to other colleagues in the organisation.
