Level: L6 – Individual Contributor
This L6 individual contributor role is responsible for managing global software licenses, ensuring compliance, and providing end-user license support (L1). The role primarily supports North America, with some APAC coverage. It includes vendor coordination but does not involve procurement, purchasing, or system configuration.
License Management Expertise (Mandatory)
Strong experience managing software licenses in large-scale, enterprise environments
Track license usage and reconcile installed vs. entitled software
Ensure compliance with vendor agreements and licensing terms
Vendor Management
Coordinate and engage with software vendors
Support license-related discussions, clarifications, and ongoing vendor engagement
Assist in audit and compliance reporting related to vendor licenses
Global IT Asset Management Support / Global SAM (Mandatory)
Hands-on experience supporting global software IT asset management operations
Collaborate with regional and cross-functional stakeholders across NA and APAC
Provide license reporting, compliance support, and operational guidance in a global environment
Tools
ServiceNow (Mandatory) – minimum 2 years experience for license tracking, ticketing, and reporting
SAMPro (Good to have) – experience in license compliance and optimization
End-User License Support (L1)
Handle license access, activation, and entitlement issues
Troubleshoot common license-related errors
Escalate complex issues appropriately
3–5+ years in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management, preferably in a global enterprise setup
College graduate or equivalent relevant experience
Individual contributor within a small team (3–4 members)
Functional ownership of operational SAM activities
No direct people management
No procurement or configuration responsibilities
