What you'll do

About the role

We are looking for a Software Architect to join our engineering organization and help shape the future of our cloud-native regulatory reporting platform

You will work closely with multiple development teams, DevOps, and business stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and compliant solutions used by financial institutions across Europe.

This is a hands-on architecture role, combining technical leadership with real impact on platform evolution and strategic decisions.

Architecture & System Design

• Designend-to-end architecturesfor complex, distributed systems (cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS)
• Definetarget architectureand guide teams throughmigration from legacy systems
• Ensure systems arescalable, resilient, and cost-efficient

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Drive adoption ofcloud-native patterns (GCP, Kubernetes, microservices)
• Define standards for:
  • service communication (REST, messaging)
  • data storage (SQL/NoSQL, streaming)
  • security and access management
• Collaborate with DevOps on platform architecture and infrastructure strategy

Modernization & Transformation

• Leadlegacy-to-cloud migration initiatives

• Identifyand mitigate architectural risks
• Balanceshort-term delivery vs long-term architecture goals

Integration & Data

• Design integrations between internal systems and external platforms (banks, regulators)
• Ensuredata consistency, correctness, and auditability
• Work with large-scale data processing pipelines and reporting systems

Security & Compliance

• Ensure solutions meetregulatory and security requirements
• Design systems withauditability and traceabilityin mind
• Support compliance with financial regulations (e.g. EBA, NBP)

Collaboration (Key Focus)

• Work closely withmultiple engineering teams (backend, DevOps, QA)
• Act as atechnical leader and mentor
• Support teams in making architectural decisions
• Facilitate alignment across teams and stakeholders

Why we should decide on you

• Strong experience as aSoftware Architect / Senior Engineer (5+ years in architecture role)
• Proven experience designing:
  • distributed systems

• cloud-native applications
• multi-service architectures

• Hands-on knowledge of:
  • Java / JVM ecosystem (Spring Boot, reactive stack is a plus)
  • Cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
  • Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • APIs, messaging systems, integration patterns
• Strong understanding of:
  • system design trade-offs
  • scalability, performance, reliability
  • data consistency (ACID vs eventual consistency)
• Experience workingclosely with multiple teamsin a complex environment

Nice to have

• Experience inRegTech/ financial reporting systems
• Knowledge of:
  • COREP, FINREP, LCR,Anacredit
• Experience with:
  • multi-tenant SaaS architectures
  • event-driven systems

• data platforms and modern data stack, including:
  • Apache Iceberg
  • Trino
  • ApacheNiFi
  • BigQuery, streaming, ETL pipelines
