Job Title: Software Architect, Fund Solutions

Location: Makati City

We are seeking a technically strong and product-minded Software Architectto join our global engineering team within Apex Group. This role is focused on shaping the architecture of product-oriented applicationsused by real users across the organization, while guiding the modernization of a diverse application landscape spanning both legacy and modern platforms

The successful candidate will define architectural direction, support high-impact technical decisions, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals. This is a moderately hands-onrole suited to someone who can combine strong architectural thinking with practical delivery experience across NETbackends, Reactand Angularfrontends, SQL-backed systems, and modern cloud and DevOps practices.

You will work closely with product, engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders globally, reporting to the Head of DevOps based in Spain. The role is based in the Philippines, with flexibility to work overlapping hours with European teams when required.

What You Will Work With

• C#and NET/.NET Corefor backend architecture, APIs, and application services.

• Reactand Angularfor modern frontend architecture and user-facing platforms.

• SQLand data-driven application design across operational and product systems.

• Azure, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and modern cloud infrastructure patterns where relevant.

• Azure DevOps, CI/CD, engineering standards, release pipelines, and delivery practices.

• Integration patterns, modernization roadmaps, and scalable application design across mixed technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve application architecturefor product-oriented systems across both legacy and modern platforms.

• Lead integration designand guide technical decisions across APIs, services, frontend applications, and data flows.

• Drive modernization initiativesthat improve maintainability, scalability, reliability, and developer efficiency.

• Establish and promote architecture standards, design principles, and engineering best practices across teams.

• Partner with engineering teams in design reviews, technical planning, and solution shaping to ensure delivery quality and architectural alignment.

• Work closely with product, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate business goals into practical and sustainable technical solutions.

• Contribute hands-on where needed through technical guidance, architecture reviews, prototyping, and support for complex implementation challenges.

Core Skills / Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant experience designing and evolving enterprise or product-focused applications.

• Strong experience with C#and NET/.NET Corefor backend architecture, APIs, and application development.

• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and delivery using Reactand/or Angular

• Strong SQLskills and a solid understanding of application data design, performance, and integration concerns.

• Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and securedistributed systems and application architectures.

• Experience with REST APIs, application integration patterns, and service-oriented or microservices-based design approaches.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and modern delivery practices.

• Experience guiding teams through technical decisions, architecture reviews, and modernization efforts.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical direction clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to balance strategic architectural thinking with pragmatic delivery decisions.

Preferred / Valued Skills

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azureand/or AWS

• Experience with Docker, Terraform, and infrastructure or platform automation practices.

• Familiarity with DevOpspractices, release management, environment strategy, and operational readiness.

• Experience supporting mixed landscapes that include both legacy systemsand modern application stacks.

• Familiarity with automated testing strategies and quality engineering practices.

• Exposure to Agile delivery models such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Experience in financial services, regulated environments, or enterprise product ecosystems is an advantage.

• Clear communicator who can align architecture decisions with product and business priorities.

Working Hours & Collaboration Expectations

• This role is based in the Philippines.

• Standard working hours will apply, with flexibility to provide overlap with European teams when required.

• Daily collaboration with the Spain-based DevOps lead and global engineering teams.

• Requires strong self-management, comfort with asynchronous collaboration, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team structure.
