At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

Could you be the full-time Software Architect in Charleroi we’re looking for?

More Than a Job: A Mission

We seek a passionate Software Architect eager to design and develop advanced rail solutions, collaborating with dedicated teams to deliver robust, scalable systems. As a professional and team manager, you will drive complex projects that leave a lasting legacy in mobility.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
  • Ensure reliability and safety through rigorous testing and validation processes
  • Champion innovation by integrating emerging technologies and methodologies
  • Promote knowledge sharing and mentorship within multidisciplinary teams

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software architecture or development
  • Expertise in system design, cloud platforms, and embedded software
  • Strong understanding of safety-critical systems, cybersecurity, and rail industry standards

How Success Is Measured

  • On-time delivery of scalable, reliable software solutions aligned with strategic goals
  • Effective collaboration and leadership within cross-functional project teams
  • Reduction in defects, improved efficiency, and proactive troubleshooting

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow

  • Work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to Alstom’s strategic vision
  • Drive global impact from our Charleroi office, shaping mobility worldwide
  • Advance your career through continuous learning and development opportunities

Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts
