The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our network intelligence and management software for the telecommunications industry This role collaborates closely with development, product, and engineering teams to validate requirements, identify defects, and verify that software releases meet defined specifications and quality standards.

The role is responsible for ensuring product quality by validating functionality through manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review product requirements, design specifications, and technical documentation to understand scope, functionality, and expected behavior
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on specifications and stakeholder input
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Postman, Jenkins
• Identify functional, reliability, accuracy, performance, and standards-based testing parameters
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing on software applications, web interfaces, and related technical products
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes prior to release
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not negatively affected by changes
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects, including detailed steps to reproduce and supporting evidence
• Verify defect fixes and ensure resolutions meet acceptance criteria.
• Communicate defects, risks, and quality concerns clearly to development and product teams
• Work closely with developers to understand root causes and recommend corrective actions or improvements
• Participate in design and review meetings to provide quality-focused input early in the development lifecycle
• Prepare QA reports, test summaries, and release readiness documentation as needed
• Recommend and support improvements to QA processes, test coverage, and testing efficiency
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of QA standards, best practices, and documentation
• Assist with test environment setup and maintenance, including basic hardware lab and IoT sensor configuration
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Requirements

What are we looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, or equivalent experience.
• +2 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a related technical role.
• Experience in testing software applications on Windows and/or Linux environments
• Experience with networking concepts and software installation is preferred
• Familiarity with defect-tracking and test-management tools (Jira or similar tools)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and/or Windows batch scripts
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with SNMP or RESTCONF protocols
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, requirements, and specifications
• Ability to write clear and concise test documentation, defect reports, and QA summaries
• Ability to create test plans and test cases from written or verbal requirements
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (English as well)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving tools and products

Nice to have

• Experience with automated testing
• Basic knowledge of Python, RCPTT or similar programming language
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or similar tools)
• Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Postman, etc.)
• Experience with Elasticsearch or other NoSQL technologies
