Silicon Labs is looking for a medior application engineer to join the application engineering team. The application engineer team is the bridge between the customers and the R&D team, delivering user guides, and peripheral and application example codes and actively helping customers with their whole product development, starting with planning, through design and development, and at the end with certification processes.

What you will do:

In this role, you will primarily work with our cutting-edge wireless connectivity solutions, including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and other wireless technologies, helping customers build next-generation connected devices. You will also gain experience with our 32-bit Wireless MCU platforms and embedded systems while supporting customers in the design and development of innovative connected solutions.

Here is what your daily role will look like:

• Actively help customers on their design, development activities

• Create code examples, application notes, quick start guides for wireless applications

• Collaborate with IC design, software engineering and marketing teams on product evaluations and new product definition

Mastery needed for success in this role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of work experience in an applicable industry

• Strong Python programming skills

• Understanding of DevOps fundamentals

• Strong C programming skills on embedded systems

• Experience with embedded or real-time operating systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

We consider the following experience as a plus:

• Experience with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth LE and Wifi)

• Experience with FreeRTOS and Zephyr
