Job Description

Soft Engineer-Calypso Scripting

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java and Calypso scripting
  • Customize and support treasury systems on the Calypso platform
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system enhancements and deployments
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Support integration with other banking and financial systems
  • Strong experience in Java development
  • Hands-on experience with Calypso scripting and treasury systems
  • Understanding of financial products (derivatives, securities, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
  • Problem-solving and debugging skills

Essential skills

  • Good experience is java development and calypso customization
  • Devops in calypso - Gradle
  • Integration, upstream and downstream system - FIX, Microservices, KAFKA
  • Experience in Front office, back office, middle office, and risk
  • Mostly on technical side and integration – should know customization side
  • Treasury mandatory products : FX and IRD
  • Calypso architecture is mandatory
  • Calypso version required – 16, 17 and 18
  • Experience in Workflow and engine configuration
