• • One temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position in Sociology, Gerontology and Gender Studies Department.
    
    
  • Start Date
  • Position available on or after September 1, 2026 and ending on or before May 21, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
    
    
  • Duties
  • Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Greeting visitors, scanning, archiving records, and photocopying.
    • Answering phone on behalf of Sociology Dept.
    • Mail pick up and delivery
    • Assist in continuing administrative tasks initiated and assigned by the ASC and/or Dept. Chair.
    • Assist in coordinating weekly work schedule with the ASC and submitting timesheet hours for approval at the end of each month.
    • In-person support for Sociology, Gerontology and Gender Studies Office walk-ins.(e.g., directing individuals to classrooms, noting and forwarding inquires to appropriate faculty/staff etc.
    • Maintain office supplies.
    • Basic troubleshooting with technology (printers, computers, copy machine, etc.).
    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Required Qualifications
    
    • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
    • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
  • Salary Range
  • $16.90 per hour.
