Job Title: Social Worker
Team: Children's Social Work
Salary: £34,314 - £42,708 (+15% Market Supplement)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for several Social Workers to join a Children & Families Service within Middlesbrough

Available Teams & Key Requirements

Looked After Children (LAC)

• Experience in care planning and permanency pathways
• Strong understanding of statutory responsibilities for children in care
• Ability to build lasting relationships with children and carers
• Skilled in multi-agency working and court report writing

Assessment Team

• Confident in completing timely and thorough assessments
• Knowledge of thresholds and early intervention strategies
• Ability to manage high-volume caseloads with efficiency
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Safeguarding Team

• Proven experience in child protection and risk management
• Ability to lead strategy discussions and attend case conferences
• Skilled in writing and presenting reports for court proceedings
• Familiarity with care proceedings and legal frameworks

Edge of Care Team

• Experience supporting families to prevent care entry
• Creative problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to build trust and resilience in families
• Familiarity with intensive support models and short-term interventions

What We’re Looking For

• Registered with Social Work England
• Completed ASYE & 2 years post qualified
• Recent experience of case work in Child Protection, Children in Need, Court work and Care Proceedings, Assessment
• Excellent communication, analysis, and safeguarding skills
• Knowledge of key legislation and ability to use a strengths-based approach
• Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle
