Shift: Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM; OnCall

The salary range for this position is $83,600 per year for employees hired in the Central Valley, CA. 📝️ Position Summary

Aspiranet is seeking an experienced, trauma-informed leader to serve as a Social Work Program Supervisor within our Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP).

The Social Work Program Supervisor provides leadership, consultation, and oversight to Program Social Workers serving youth across multiple residential cottages. This position supports consistent, high-quality social work practice and ensures that assessments, case planning, family engagement, documentation, care coordination, and transition planning meet the individualized needs of each youth.

The ideal candidate is an experienced social services professional who can coach and develop staff, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and balance compassionate practice with accountability and regulatory compliance.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Social Work Supervision and Leadership

• Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, consultation, and performance feedback to Program Social Workers.
• Support staff in developing sound professional judgment and trauma-informed social work practices.
• Facilitate individual supervision, team meetings, case consultations, and professional development.
• Monitor workloads, assignments, documentation responsibilities, and required case-management activities.
• Promote a positive, culturally responsive, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and corrective action when necessary.
• Provide leadership and consultation during urgent situations and participate in the program’s on-call rotation.

Case Planning and Service Coordination

• Oversee the completion and ongoing review of assessments, needs and services plans, treatment goals, and transition plans.
• Ensure case plans are individualized, strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and consistent with each youth’s placement goals.
• Support social workers in coordinating services with youth, families, caregivers, county representatives, schools, behavioral health providers, attorneys, and other community partners.
• Promote meaningful youth and family participation in Child and Family Team meetings and other case-planning processes.
• Monitor progress toward placement stability, family engagement, permanency, and successful transition or discharge.
• Provide direct case-management support or caseload coverage when program needs require it.

Documentation and Quality Assurance

• Review social work documentation for accuracy, quality, timeliness, and compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor completion of assessments, case notes, incident follow-up, progress reports, court or county reports, and discharge documentation.
• Identify documentation or service-delivery concerns and provide timely coaching and corrective guidance.
• Support internal reviews, audits, licensing visits, accreditation surveys, and corrective-action processes.
• Use program data and case trends to identify service gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Trauma-Informed and Multidisciplinary Practice

• Model and reinforce trauma-informed, relationship-based, and culturally responsive practices.
• Apply and support staff in utilizing ARC, CRM, ProAct, and other agency-approved approaches.
• Collaborate with residential, behavioral health, education, nursing, administrative, and leadership teams to provide coordinated care.
• Participate in case conferences, crisis reviews, debriefings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Help social workers navigate complex cases, placement challenges, family dynamics, and barriers to successful transition.
• Promote practices that support youth voice, choice, dignity, safety, and connection to family and community.

Compliance and Community Partnership

• Ensure social work services comply with Community Care Licensing, mental health program requirements, Joint Commission standards, contractual obligations, and agency policies.
• Maintain effective working relationships with placing agencies, county partners, families, community providers, and other stakeholders.
• Represent the program professionally during meetings, reviews, audits, and collaborative planning processes.
• Respond promptly to concerns involving youth safety, service quality, documentation, or compliance

✅ Qualifications

• • Master’s Degree in an approved discipline, or with approval from the funder and/or regulatory body, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and two years of casework experience. For programs governed by Community Care Licensing, a formal exception must be granted by CCL.
  • Meets all state-required conditions of employment as set forth by the funder and regulatory body, i.e. fingerprint and Child Abuse Index Clearance, TB/health physical, valid CDL, and clean driving record.
