The Role

As part of the Assessment Team, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding, undertaking high-quality assessments and ensuring children receive the right support at the right time.

You will:

  • Complete timely assessments and Section 47 enquiries to identify risk and determine the most appropriate interventions
  • Manage a diverse caseload, contributing to Child Protection Conferences, statutory planning, and court proceedings
  • Lead complex and high-risk cases, driving positive outcomes for children and families
  • Support and develop less experienced colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and reflective practice
  • Work closely with partners across health, education, and other agencies to deliver coordinated, child-centred support

About You

We're keen to hear from passionate, child-focused practitioners who are committed to delivering excellent social work practice.

You'll have:

  • A Degree in Social Work and current Social Work England registration
  • 2+ years' post-qualified experience and successful completion of the ASYE
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, assessment frameworks, and statutory thresholds
  • Excellent analytical skills, sound professional judgement, and the ability to make confident decisions in complex situations
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
