Insight Health Solutions (IHS) is a provider of third-party health services to a variety of sectors. Embedded within the entrepreneurial program THP Solutions, IHS works closely with our internal stakeholders to deliver high quality, expedited assessment, treatment and diagnostic services.

Insight Health Solutions is a revenue generating program with an expanding mental health portfolio. An integral member of the interdisciplinary team is the Mental Health Clinician.  The mental health clinician will play a key role in the assessment and treatment of individuals referred from the WSIB and other referents. They will work along with the psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and kinesiologists to determine what the client needs are clinically to make a full functional recovery – and to liaise with external community healthcare providers and insurers to ensure a safe transition from our program to the community.

The role will work closely with clients, customers, and other front-line clinicians to deliver a high quality, evidence-based program that focuses on returning clients to function and reducing impairment and disability – all in an innovative, fee for service environment.

  • Co-lead interprofessional mental health assessments for first responders, and other populations experiencing mental health issues.

  • Provide evidence based 1:1 and group treatment interventions including cognitive processing therapy and other evidence-based trauma therapies.

  • Participate in interprofessional rounds to discuss challenging cases and identify solutions.

  • Provide in-depth clinical reports that assist with case management.

  • Work with external groups including insurers and employers.

  • Couples, family, child, youth, adolescent experience

Key Qualifications:

     

  • Master’s Degree (preferred) in regulated health care profession.

  • Membership with professional college and in good standing.

  • Minimum five years of clinical experience working with individuals living with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.

  • Extensive training and experience providing time limited, evidenced-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

  • Experience working with first responders/public safety personnel.

  • Working knowledge of evidence-based trauma treatments.

  • Solid individual and group psychotherapy skills required.

  • Knowledgeable with data collection tools.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills combined with the ability to work independently as well as part of an interprofessional team.

  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, positive work and attendance record, required.

  • Hospital based mental health and third party experience are considered assets.

  • Demonstrated awareness and a good understanding of the principles/protocols that govern health and safety issues.
