This role requires a commitment to be on call for uncovered shifts. Specifically, the monthly requirement includes 2 weekend days, 24-hour shift and five weekend shifts from 5pm-8am. When called to work, on site coverage is mandatory. After 5pm the onsite social workers provide support to both the Emergency Department and inpatient units. The role demands strong crisis interventions skills, grief and bereavement support and de-escalation skills. Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
