For this Social Worker position, you'll be working for our high school in Wilmington, Delaware called Freire Charter School Wilmington (8th-12th Grade): Freire is all about Graduation x 2 – graduation from high school and from college. We challenge our students to achieve higher than they ever have before, and we give them the support they need to get there, including individualized college counseling. 95% of The Class of 2025 received acceptances into 52 unique colleges and universities and earned nearly $4.3M in scholarship award offers. We offer a competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications. This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week) and is not benefits eligible.

The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) provides educational support to residents from birth through adulthood. DDOE supports Delaware public schools – which includes 19 school districts and 23 charter schools – with resources, professional development, grant access and more so that all Delaware students are ready for success in college, career and life.
DDOE additionally manages educator licensure and certification, registers homeschools, facilitates adult and prison education programs, supports early learning and higher education institutes, and facilitates additional programs as outlined in Delaware Code.
Delaware education policies, laws, and regulations are often formed in partnership with local educators and stakeholders, the State Board of Education, the Professional Standards Board and the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA).
In Delaware, any child between age five and 16 is required to attend a public school, homeschool or other non-public option.
