Job Description

Job Title: Mental Health Social Worker
Location: Solihull
Rate: £35 per hour

Our client in Solihull is looking for an experienced Mental Health Social Worker to join their Adult Mental Health Team.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will conduct thorough social care assessments to identify the needs of adults with mental health issues and develop personalised care plans to support their well-being and independence. You will manage a caseload of 20-25 clients, ensuring timely and effective interventions while also participating in the duty rota to provide additional support as needed. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, applying a holistic approach to achieve positive outcomes. This hybrid role requires office-based work on Mondays and one additional day per week, with flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must hold a recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW. You must be registered with Social Work England and have significant experience working with vulnerable adults, particularly those with mental health issues and complex needs. A strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, is essential. You should possess excellent assessment and analysis skills and be able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
