Working knowledge of basic social work principles, techniques, and practices and their application to specific casework, group work, and community problems. Knowledge of governmental and private organizations and resources in the community. Some knowledge of behavioral and socioeconomic problems and their treatment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative supervisors, with members of case load and their families, and with care providers and various community organizations. Ability to express ideals clearly and concisely. Ability to plan and execute work. Knowledge of the computer, NC FAST, electronic filing of documents, scanning ability, and ability to navigate, input data and problem solve within a computer system.
Interview parents seeking subsidized day care; obtain information necessary to establish eligibility for subsidized child day care; fill out necessary forms for documenting applications and recertifications; assist in arranging placements when requested; assist child day care providers in maintaining vouchers and necessary documents; assist with billing and payment processing; complete change notices as necessary; perform other child day care program functions and duties as requested by the agency. Training in NC FAST will be required. This individual through the implementation of NC FAST and universal worker expectations may transition into other income support programs. This individual will administer the Emergency Assistance program and Energy program.
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year directly related experience.
*Directly related experience is defined as human services experience in the areas of case management, assessment and referral, supportive counseling, intervention, psycho-social therapy and treatment planning.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday / 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
