JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/ Objective
East Side House (ESH) is a community resource in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan. We believe education is the key that enables all people to create economic and civic opportunities for themselves, their families, and their community. ESH’s Social Services Programs align with our mission by providing high quality programs and services within community programs and school partnerships.
The Social Worker provides social work and supportive services to participants in Expectant Families and Older Adult Programs. Working collaboratively with program staff, the Social Worker helps individuals and families address immediate needs, strengthen stability and well-being, and connect to appropriate resources. Services include needs assessment, emergency asssisance, short-term supportive counseling, crises support, psychoeducational workshops, referrals, and coordination of care.

Expected Work Schedule
The work schedule expected for this position is: 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday - Friday, as aligned to the needs of the program/service. The schedule may be adjusted based on ESH’s operational needs and funder requirements, with notice provided whenever possible.
