Job Title: Social Worker - Early Resolution and Safeguarding Team
Location: Buckinghamshire
Pay Rate: £ 38/per hour

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Early Resolution and Safeguarding Team for our client in Buckinghamshire. This role requires working within both community and hospital settings to conduct social care assessments, develop care plans, and support a diverse client group with varied needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Care Assessments: Conduct thorough social care assessments to identify the needs of clients, in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
  • Care Plans: Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014.
  • Support: Provide support and interventions to clients experiencing various difficulties, promoting recovery and well-being.
  • Safeguarding Enquiries: Undertake safeguarding enquiries to protect adults at risk, following the guidelines of the Care Act 2014.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective support for each client.
  • Hybrid Working: Operate in a hybrid model, working both from home and various sites as required.
  • Mental Capacity Assessments: Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments as required, in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Mental Health Act Responsibilities: Apply the principles and provisions of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) in your practice, including supporting clients through the process of detention and treatment under the Act.
  • Continuing Health Care: Undertake Continuing Health Care checklists and assessments as needed.
  • Better Lives Framework: Work in accordance with the Better Lives framework.
  • Goal-Based Support: Promote and deliver goal-based support to help people achieve greater independence.
  • Equality and Fairness: Promote equality as an integral part of the role and treat everyone with fairness and dignity.
  • Proactive Care: Provide a proactive, personalised approach to the delivery of care and practice.
  • Choice and Control: Give people greater choice and control over the care they receive.
  • Risk Management: Take account of people's risks and safety at all times, identifying mitigations to reduce that risk.
  • Outcome Support: Support people to achieve the outcomes that are most important to them using all available resources and taking responsibility for the public purse.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise staff.
  • Complex Cases: Hold a caseload of complex cases.
  • Safeguarding Investigations: Competent in completing safeguarding investigations and court work.
  • Personalised Information and Advice: Provide personalised information and advice, safeguarding, assessment, support planning, and review to individuals/families and their carers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
  • Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
  • Experience: Significant experience in social work within the last year.
  • Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, good IT skills with knowledge of Mosaic, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are required for client visits.
