Job Title: Social Worker - Fostering

An exciting job role has recently become available for a qualified Social Worker to join a dynamic Fostering team based in Dorset.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will provide regular supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring they meet the needs of the children in their care. You will conduct assessments of potential foster carers and participate in the approval process. Additionally, you will organise and deliver training sessions for foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Managing a caseload of foster families, you will ensure compliance with policies and regulations. You will conduct regular home visits to monitor the well-being of children and provide guidance to foster carers. During crises, you will offer support and intervention to ensure the safety and stability of placements. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions will be crucial. You will work closely with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators, to provide comprehensive support. Advocating for the needs and rights of children and foster carers within the system will be a key part of your responsibilities. Finally, you will ensure all foster care activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.

To be successful in this role you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a qualification in Social Work at degree level, and have post-qualified experience.
