Job Description

Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Social Workers to join a range of Children's Services teams based in Pembrokeshire and across South Wales. Opportunities are available within CASP, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings (PLO), Court, and Intake and Locality (Long-Term) teams.

In these roles, you will support children and families involved in child protection plans, pre-proceedings, and court processes, helping to safeguard children and improve outcomes for families. Working in accordance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures, you will adopt a strengths-based, child-focused approach, working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to achieve positive and lasting outcomes for children and young people.

You will be joining experienced and supportive teams led by established Team Managers and Principal Social Workers who are committed to professional development. Regular monthly supervision, ongoing learning and training opportunities, and a flexible hybrid working model are all on offer, alongside a collaborative team culture for those who value office-based support.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Managing a diverse caseload of children, young people, and families.
  • Undertaking assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions.
  • Supporting children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need Plans.
  • Working with families involved in Pre-Proceedings (PLO) and Court work.
  • Completing statutory visits, assessments, reviews, and care plans.
  • Preparing high-quality reports for court proceedings, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews.
  • Building effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
  • Collaborating with education, health, legal, and safeguarding professionals.
  • Identifying and managing risk while ensuring the welfare and safety of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory and local authority requirements.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Degree in Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Registration with Social Care Wales.
  • A minimum of three years' experience within a Children's Social Work setting.
  • Relevant post-qualified Social Work experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
  • Right to work in the UK.
