Job Title: Social Worker - Children with Disabilities - Rhondda Cynon Taf
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf
Pay Rate: £ 38.43/per hour

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join their esteemed client. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Social Worker to become a part of the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. The role requires a degree in Social Work or a related field, along with at least 2 years of social care experience. Knowledge of the Care Act is essential, as is strong communication skills. Additionally, the ability to travel for work is necessary to meet the needs of the children and families you will be supporting.

We are seeking a qualified children’s services Social Worker, ideally with safeguarding experience, who is skilled in managing diverse and complex cases. You will deliver high-quality assessments promptly and accurately, keeping the child’s needs and best interests at the centre of your practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery: Consistently deliver a high-quality service that drives positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Culture of Excellence: Support and contribute to a culture of excellence and good practice in an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Professional Relationships: Develop and maintain strong professional relationships, both internally and externally, including multi-agency partnerships with education and health providers.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.

Specific Duties:

  • Assessment and Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, including their disabilities, health, education, and social support.
  • Planning and Support: Develop individualized care plans that address the specific needs of children and their families, ensuring access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Advocate for the rights and interests of children with disabilities and their families, working with other professionals and agencies to ensure their needs are met.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of children with disabilities, addressing any concerns or risks to their welfare.
