Job Description

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within Conwy’s Children, Families and Safeguarding Service, based in Colwyn Bay.

This is a temporary position, initially expected to last approximately 12 weeks, with the potential for extension.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to support Children, Families, and Adults at risk.
  • Assist Section Managers and Team Managers in managing the Adult Safeguarding Process for Conwy County Borough.
  • Manage the reception of referrals and make timely, informed decisions within statutory timescales.
  • Consult with Section Managers, senior safeguarding colleagues, and other managers on complex safeguarding and adult protection cases.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure safeguarding concerns are addressed effectively and proportionately.
  • Apply safeguarding legislation, protocols, and guidance consistently across all cases.
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality records and reports in line with professional standards and local procedures.

The role is office‑based full‑time at Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, and applicants must live locally or within a commutable distance of Conwy County.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Degree level qualification in Social Work (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience.
  • Registered with Social Care Wales.
  • Strong knowledge of All Wales Safeguarding Procedures, relevant legislation, and statutory guidance.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident use of technology and case management systems.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
