Job Description

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Agency Social Worker to join its client's Children and Families Service. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practitioner with proven experience in Child Protection and Court Work to join a supportive and well-established team.

The role will be primarily based at Wyvern House in Winsford, with some flexibility for agreed home working days. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families through complex statutory work.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Manage a caseload of complex Children and Families cases, including Child Protection and care proceedings.
  • Undertake statutory assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with legislation and local procedures.
  • Prepare high-quality court reports and give evidence within the Child Protection Court arena.
  • Work directly with children and families to assess risk, promote welfare, and achieve timely, positive outcomes.
  • Liaise effectively with legal services, partner agencies, and internal teams to ensure robust safeguarding practice.
  • Maintain accurate, timely case records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
  • Participate in supervision and contribute positively to team working and service development.

Skills and Qualification Required:

To be successful in this role you must have;

  • Degree level qualification in Social Work (or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience within Children and Families services.
  • Essential experience in Child Protection and Court Work.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and court processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a team.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
