Salary Range: $69,388.80 to $86,736.00. This is an exempt, salaried position. Please note: Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Youth and Family Services Division (YFS) of the Department of Social Services (DSS) provides a variation of services to safeguard children by strengthening the protective capacities of families whose children’s health, safety and well-being are at risk. This is a specialized position within the Special Victims Unit (SVU) as the Social Work Supervisor. This position will provide direct supervision to a team of Child Welfare Specialist IIIs who conduct investigations on complex child abuse/neglect cases to include child trafficking, physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, fatalities, foster homes, and group homes. This team is responsible for providing community-based services to individuals, groups, families, or communities regarding issues that could include child and adult abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation, mental health concerns, poverty, unemployment, substance abuse, rehabilitation, social adjustment, housing, childcare, or medical care.
The Social Work Supervisor will provide direct supervision, training, support, review and evaluation of professional technical and para-professional staff involved in areas which could include Social Services or Public Health. This position compiles reports and data to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures as well as assignment and monitoring of cases. This position provides feedback to staff to enhance their capabilities to perform efficiently.
This position will be located at 430 Stitt Rd, Charlotte, NC 28213. Please note this position may require after hours (after 5:00 pm) and weekend work as needed.
