A little more about your role…

  • You will work within a diverse and highly skilled team providing Social Value advice to directly support the TRAM Framework and the Roads UK and IE Social Value portfolio
  • Your role will also include supported the establishment and delivery of innovative education and skills across infrastructure projects
  • You will work directly with the Framework team and with other Social Value and Educational Skills Professionals in the WSP business
  • Day to day support in the coordination and management of Social Value – ensuring programme delivery to timescales and budget, inputting into regular progress reporting to the Framework Director, coordinating staff resourcing
  • Working with our Head of Profession to support a wider Knowledge Exchange programme being run through the Roads Expertise Leadership Group (ELG)
  • Ability to broadly understand and translate technical Engineering (and complementary) roles and concepts – working with technical roles and/or concepts to help pupils understand how they fit into the World of Work and what skills are required for their development
  • Planning and delivery of Social Value events and Initiatives – safety and wellbeing planning, logistics and sourcing and development of materials (with support from the full range of Business Partners including HR, H&S and Finance
  • Supporting the roads business in internally and externally (where required) coordinating its professional accreditations for conventional institutions such as ICE, IHE, IHT, NEC, APM etc This will include mapping trainees to training support (such as SCE/DE type arrangements and formal and informal mentors). This will be across the UK and India
  • Supporting the ELG with ECP (Early Careers Professionals) programmes and events as part of the Roads ECP Programme
  • WSP works with a wide range of public sector clients to deliver significant infrastructure improvements that contribute to a sustainable transport network that meets local and national government objectives.
  • The Roads business has nearly 900 staff, approximately 250 of these are based in our India offices
  • Your home office will be whichever office is closer to where you reside
  • You will be working most closely with out Belfast and Dublin (Naas Office) but also with our wider UK and India team members
  • The TRAM Framework Team (DFI Framework) is the framework in which you will largely work
