
Under general supervision, a Social Studies teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in the secondary learning environment that guides, and encourages students to develop and accomplish their academic goals by creating a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning, and appropriate to the maturity level and interest of all students.
Social Studies Teacher Responsibilities & Duties
Plan and deliver engaging and informative lessons on a variety of social studies topics
Assess student learning and progress through regular assessments and evaluations
Provide individualized support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential
Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
Stay current on best practices and changes in the field of social studies education
