Performs individual counseling and instruction to at-risk youth in the area of performance, personal problems, and behavioral problems.
Supervises and ensures physical safety and well-being of youth program participants.
Ensures safety and security of campus buildings and grounds.
Maintains records of student movement/facility functions with professionalism and in accordance with all laws/regulations/policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
NOTE: This is a critical need position; therefore, the staff member must be able to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather events in order to provide coverage for a 24-hour facility.
- The duties of this position do not allow for remote work.
- This position will be working with at-risk youth; employees may be subject to verbal abuse from students.
- Transporting youth is required, so you must possess and must maintain a valid Arkansas Driver's License and meet the eligibility requirements covered by the state insurance policy (check your driver record points).
- Must wear a uniform and maintain military-style grooming and appearance.
This position is at the Division of Youth Services - Civilian Student Training Program Facility located at Camp Joe T. Robinson in North Little Rock, AR.
This position is eligible for a shift differential if assigned to either a mid shift or a night shift. Regular weekend duty schedules are eligible for a weekend shift differential.
Previous experience working with at-risk youth preferred.
